In Romania, fireworks representations take place especially on New Year’s Eve, as a symbol of  joy, hope and good times that are about to come in the future. Also, in our country every big city has its own festival, and throughout these days we throw fireworks.
In our city, Iasi, for instance, during the Festival that takes place between 12-17 October, lots of people gather in the center of the town, where the whole feast is organized: barbecues, drinks, concerts, and all that ends every evening of the celebration with a brightly colored fireworks show, for about 30 minutes.
As well, for celebrating different events as: fashion parades, shops' openings, promotion campaigns  certain products or books, art galleries.
As throwing fireworks is not a custom that comes from Romania, we do it mainly for the occasions that we mentioned above.
